Aug 31—A fast growing cloud email company, Avanan, has been acquired by Check Point Software Technologies.
With the email threat landscape becoming wider every year, the integrated Check Point Software and Avanan platform will deliver best-of-breed cloud e-mail malware protection and expand security to SaaS collaboration suites.
Email technologies have expanded and moved from on-premise to the cloud. As many as 95% of cyber attacks targeting enterprise networks occur due to phishing campaigns. The cloud email threat landscape has never been more extensive. In 2020, the number of phishing attacks doubled. Reports indicate that nearly every Microsoft Office 365 user on the planet experienced at least one cyber security attack.
