EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

The Equifax data breach from a couple weeks ago keeps leaving more bad news in its wake. While the agency acted quickly to set up a website for consumers to find out if they had been affected, its Twitter account directed customer inquiries to a fake phishing site called www.securityequifax2017.com. While it has since been flagged to warn visitors away from it, it was originally set up by a software engineeer to educate people.

If nothing else, this data breach should provide a good case study for executives interested in learning what not to do when responding to a cyber attack.
