When in Rome…make sure your data is secure if you work for the foreign ministry. Italy’s foreign ministry is reporting a hacking attempt to steal sensitive information from its database. A group calling itself Anonymous is said to have published ministry travel and expense information, along with names and email addresses, as well as other data on a site called cyberguerilla.org.

Investigation is currently underway and a legal complaint has been filed. The incident comes on the heels of hackers attacking the ministry’s system during a four-month period in 2016, which prompted a reinforced security program.
